Today a group of IST staff agreed to start forming a SAP based company.
Over merienda in the food shop at the 7th floor of the PBCOM bldg, the group discussed their perceptions of the problems besetting the IST company and the risks that is faced by the SAP based employees. The general consensus is that things do not look good.
While in a queue for coffee at the Figaro branch , bing asked itong if he had any business ideas. Itong said he has an idea and its a serious idea right in the current field the group is in.
Btw, the group is composed of Itong, Erwin, Gina, Bong, kenneth. Ronald, Bing. Seven, a lucky number, seven deadly sins!!!
Okay, let's continue...while still ordering coffee, (itong's treat), Itong explained his idea of forming a company which will cater to the SAP requirements of Luen Thai. The company composed of the current SAP personnel of IST will form a separate company and offer complete SAP implementation and maintenance services to LT. and later to other companies. For LT, the benefit will be the separate management of SAP from its other software projects. The cost will be smaller and the risk will be more manageable since the other products will not drag the SAP component down.
The basic object of the SAP company will be "survival" of the existing SAP staff. The survival concept arises due to the current problems besetting the existing IST company of LT.
Over coffee, the group agreed to the following:
1. Beloy, Hermie, and Tess will be immediately informed re: the project.
2. Ronnie and Gerry will be important members of the company but will not be immediately advised.
3. Itong already has an existing company.
4. The ex-SMC group already has a previous attempt at setting up an SAP company which can provide experience for the fledgling company.
5. 100% secrecy will be maintained by the group.
6. The people in the meeting (and belowy, tes and hermie) will send bing a bullet list of the features, functionalities and services that can be provided by the person in his area of work.
7. Based on these, Bing will prepare an initial outline of the company and the proposal to LT.
